I can't tell you how awesome it is to tuck a happy kid into bed after 2 years of needing to lay with her. hopefully these tips help you or at least let you know it's possible (I had my doubts, ha! ). Subscribe to WUM for new vids M-W-F! TIPS 1. Blame Someone Else: For example, try telling your preschooler that the doctor said that they have to stay in the bed so the new baby can get the best night’s sleep! 2. Set a Reward: Give them the confidence they can sleep through one night. Create a weekly chart, then a monthly chart of progress. Your child may even forget to ask for the reward! 3. Checking In: Let them know you’re going to come back in 5 minutes and make sure you follow through. 4. Be Specific: Tell them what you’re doing when you step away. For example, “Mom’s gonna go unload the dishwasher; I have to call Aunt Lala. ” 5. Give Choices: Ask them what stuffed animal they want to sleep with, how bright to leave the lights, or if they want the door open or closed. 6. Positive Reinforcement: Let them know you’re proud of them. Thank you for making us the #1 Parenting Network on YouTube! Follow What’s Up Moms on: Facebook: Instagram! Ashley is a first generation American and is a remarkable little girl. Little Kids Rock has helped her respond to tragedy and pain by giving her creative outlet to express herself. Lyrics to "Marathon" Heart, sweat, heat and cold, Bombs everywhere, it's out of control. All those people who suffer, We salute them now, and we bow. Don't worry, one day you'll be happy. I know it's hard letting somebody go. It's painful and it's hard. There's two choices in life: Cry all day or think about happy memories. They are OK. They're in a better place. Just think about happy memories. I know it's hard letting somebody go. I've been through that. Don't you worry, One day, you'll be happy. Since I was little I've always been told, That when you get bruised and you're in a big situation, Just keep on running, Keep on running, Keep on running. Hush darlin' don't be afraid. Momma's here, I explain. Heart, sweat, heat and cold, Bombs everywhere, it's out of control. All those people who suffer, We salute them now and we bow. I know it's hard letting somebody go, But you gotta trust me, Trust me, they're still alive, They're in your heart, they're in your heart. Whenever you talk, they're in your heart. Heart, sweat, heat and cold, Bombs everywhere, it's out of control. Ohhhh, ohhh. Heart, sweat, heat and cold, Bombs everywhere, it's out of control. It's painful letting somebody go. I know it's hard, But you've got to trust me, trust me. Heart, sweat, heat and cold, Bombs everywhere, it's out of control. Ohhhh Heart, sweat, heat and cold, Bombs everywhere, it's out of control. Ohh oh. Ohh oh. Hush darlin' don't be afraid, Momma's here, I explain.
